Wandsworth VCS alignment

Aligned with Wandsworth’s voluntary and community sector priorities

Dominican Parade UK CIC’s work aligns with Wandsworth’s wider voluntary and community sector priorities, including community participation, cultural inclusion, youth engagement, volunteering, partnership development and support for smaller community-led organisations.

Wandsworth’s Voluntary Sector Needs Analysis highlights the importance of strengthening local civil society, improving collaboration between the voluntary sector, the council, businesses and community partners and creating more diverse and accessible opportunities for residents to participate in civic and community life.

Our developing programme responds to these priorities by building a cultural and educational platform rooted in Wandsworth, with future activity including school engagement, heritage learning, volunteering pathways, community partnerships and cultural events that support representation, belonging and long-term community legacy.

This alignment does not imply formal endorsement by Wandsworth Council. References to Wandsworth Council priorities or voluntary sector infrastructure are included to show local alignment and public benefit. They do not imply approval, funding or partnership by Wandsworth Council.

Impact measurement

How we will measure impact

As our work develops, we aim to track meaningful indicators such as school and community engagement, volunteer participation, partnership development, event participation, cultural learning activity and feedback from residents, families, young people and partners.

This will help us evidence community value, improve responsibly and build a long-term legacy beyond a single event.

Community benefits

Benefits that reach people, places and institutions.

Community impact is strongest when young people, families, schools, businesses, visitors and cultural organisations all have meaningful ways to participate.

Greater visibility and representation for Dominican heritage
More cultural learning and intergenerational exchange
Youth leadership, confidence and skills pathways
Accessible volunteering and community participation
Stronger cross-cultural understanding and social connection
Sustainable partnerships beyond a single event
