Safeguarding

Responsible community activity comes first.

Dominican Parade UK CIC is developing its programmes with safeguarding, public safety and responsible delivery in mind.

Our commitment

Dominican Parade UK CIC is developing work involving children, young people and potentially vulnerable adults responsibly. Appropriate safeguarding arrangements will be in place before any youth, school or community delivery begins.

Programme development

Youth, education, volunteer and community activities will be scoped responsibly and will progress in line with capacity, suitable partners, funding, insurance, risk assessment and safeguarding readiness. No unsupervised school or youth delivery will take place without appropriate safeguarding arrangements.

Schools and youth activity

School sessions will be school-supervised. DBS checks, risk assessments, consent processes, supervision arrangements and partner requirements will be used where needed, depending on the nature of each activity and the setting involved.

Reporting a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern connected with Dominican Parade UK CIC activity, contact admin@dominicanparadeuk.com. If someone is at immediate risk, contact the emergency services or the relevant local safeguarding authority.

Policy development

Safeguarding policies and procedures will be updated as programmes move from development to delivery and as delivery partners, venues, schools or community settings are confirmed.

Important note

Plans and activities remain subject to approvals, funding, partnerships and responsible delivery planning.
